Bianca, aka “Binx”

Heya humans, what’s up?!?!  I haven’t checked in for a while, an’ wanted to fill ya in on some stuff goin’ on.  First, my buddy Zappa is in a foster home now, an’ he’s doin’ pretty good with the human who’s fosterin’ him… he’s still got lots to learn ’bout bein’ in a home, but everyone is real happy for him ’cause he gotta go to a foster home!  Anyways, I do miss him tho… he was my walkin’ an’ car ride buddy!  I go on lots of walks with other dogs, like Orchid, but haven’t found a doggy I can play with like I did with Skye an’ Echo.  Our humans are workin’ on findin’ me a friend, tho, I know it!  I’m gettin’ LOTS of extra attention from staff an’ volunteers since Zappa isn’t here… like last Saturday, this real nice volunteer, Blake, played fetch with me, an’ even helped me dig a hole!!!  He’s silly, like me, an’ we had lots of fun!  I was worn out after we played for about an hour!  I hope he comes in again this Saturday to hang out with me!

bianca_sweater

My new sweater Christine found for me… Maddie tried it on to make sure it fit. I only look a lil serious ’cause she was holdin’ my squeaky toy! They think Blue is a great color on me… what do you think??

That reminds me… on Saturday there’s gonna be a Valentine’s Day party for us dogs! It’s called “Have a Heart for HSGKC’s Adoptable Dogs”, an’ it’s from 1-3pm on Saturday, February 13. Check out our website for more details, but I think it’s cool!  Our humans wanted to have a party for us ’cause I guess February has lots of days dedicated to dogs… like this week is Have a Heart for Chained Dogs Week (I think that’s REAL important, btw), an’ February is also Dog Training Education Month, which ties in with HSGKC’s BEG Program. Plus, our volunteers and staff will bring some of us out to meet humans, an’ hang out with ya!  I’m excited ’bout that part ’cause I LOVE spending time with humans, like Christine… she usually spends some time with me everyday, an’ knows I like climbin’ in her lap, an’ givin’ her kisses, an’ hugs an’ just lovin’ on her!  Even tho I’ve got lots of energy, it’s usually just at first ’cause I’m excited to see someone, then I relax a lil’… most of the time… an’ I still remember the stuff I learned in obedience class, like how to “sit”, an’ “lay down”!  I had my pic taken with Jai for Valentine’s Day, too, and it is pretty darn cute… so be sure to check us out on Facebook an’ Instagram!

K… gotta run!  I hope I get to see you Saturday!

Hey humans, what’s goin’ on with you?  I’m doin’ good ’cause last night I gotta go for a “sleepover” with Harrison… he’s a new dude workin’ in the kennel who I think is AWESOME!  Anyways, the last time I blogged (it’s been a minute, I know), I was talkin’ ’bout all the cool stuff our humans do for us dogs to make our lives better while we’re waitin’ for our forever homes, an’ Pete started this real cool thing called “HSGKC’s BEG Program”.  I think “BEG” means Behavior Enhancement Group… anyways the important thing ’bout it is more volunteers an’ staff are doin’ more stuff with us… like sleepovers! The BEG Program is all ’bout doin’ stuff that’ll help us get ready for our forever homes, like car rides, sleepovers (ya gotta remember, lots of us here haven’t ever been in a real home… so we don’t know ’bout all the gadgets an’ what-not ya’ll gots in your homes), walks in parks (like Ricky, another cool dude, takes Merrick to different parks every Sunday an’ they go for long walks), an’ just runnin’ “errands”.  And… somethin’ else I’m stoked ’bout is that when the weather finally stays warm for a bit, WE’RE GETTIN’ AN AGILITY YARD!!!!!  I’m sooooooo excited ’bout that… cuz ya know I gotta show off my skills with agility!  Our humans love us, an’ really wanna do everything they can to give us a full life while we’re here!

harrison_porter

Me an’ Harrison hangin’ out last night!

Harrison was real proud of me ‘cuz I was real good in his home last night an’ this morning!  I was a lil wound up at first… just gettin’ used to all the new sounds and stuff, but I settled down after a couple hours.  I liked havin’ a human all to myself for a night! I didn’t make a mess in Harrison’s home… but I did discover that I enjoy shoes… they’re kinda fun to chew on… lol.  I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to chew on them, but I didn’t destroy them or anythin’, I was investigatin’… but now I know shoes are okay to sniff, but not chew on!  I’m smart an’ learn stuff real fast!

That’s all I got for now!  TTYL!

Heya humans!  How ya doin’?  I’m bloggin’ today for a coupla reasons…1 cuz I’m in HSGKC’s BEG Program Basic Obedience Class 1.0, (our first class was last night) with my fav human, Jai (just sayin’… you humans got lots of fancy words for stuff, lol)!, for 2 cuz I really wanna find a foster home… but I’ll talk ’bout that soon, an’ 3 cuz I’m goin’  to Four Paws Pantry and Spa in Olathe for a satellite on Saturday!  Awesome!! The satellite is from 11am to 3pm.

zappa_bianca_car

I love ridin’ in the car with my buddy Bianca!

K, so HSGKC’s BEG Program is somethin’ real cool started by Pete… he got a real spiffy title not too long ago, and he’s now our Director of Canine Enrichment, so he’s like the boss of doggy stuff here!  He’s gettin’ help from volunteers for stuff like our obedience classes to help improve our lives while we’re here waiting for our humans to find us, and to make us more adoptable by teachin’ us manners and such.  I spent the first part of class starin’ at my handsome self in the glass… but after a bit, I got the hang of things and did good… except I don’t lay all the way down…I like to lay down with by bum in the air!!  I think it’s funny!  I did “stays” pretty good for Jai, an’ “watch me”, an’ “sits”!  I think next week will be fun, too.  I’m in class with Penny Lane, Duke, Joe-Joe (he’s a REAL funny lookin’ dog), and Milo.  Obedience classes are just 1 thing our humans are doin’ for us, and all us dogs are super excited ’bout the fun things we’re gonna do (like AGILITY… I think I’d ROCK at that cuz I do like to jump high!).  Another cool thing is for dogs like me who are a lil choosy ’bout our doggy friends to get a “walkin’ buddy”… and I gots one, Bianca!  We’re cool together walkin’ and stuff, and we love gettin’ to go on long walks together!  See both of us play best with dogs who don’t care if they’re the “alpha” dog… and me and Bianca both think we’re the top dog, lol!  We go on errands with Jai, too, and love goin’ for car rides together! The BEG Program is somethin’ I think makes HSGKC real special… cuz our humans care about us a lot and wanna make our lives awesome while we’re here!

zappa_dogbed

Lovin’ my tiny dog bed.

Time to stretch!

So the other thing I wanna talk ’bout is I do wanna find a foster home… see I’ve been here since March, and sometimes Pit Bulls like me have a harder time bein’ in a shelter for a spell.  We’re real sensitive to our environments… and we get stressed out cuz there’s always lots and lots of stuff goin’ on (like dogs comin’ and goin’, and humans comin’ and goin’), and we try real hard to adapt.  Well, I’m kinda showin’ some signs of stress and our humans just don’t like seein’ me stressed, so they’re tryin’ to find me a foster home.  I wanna make them happy cuz they’re always doin’ extra things for us, so I thought I’d blog ’bout wantin’ a foster home so maybe someone would wanna get to know me better, and foster me!  I’m a good boy, sweet, affectionate, and real smart.  I love goin’ on our Pack Walks, so I’d love an active human or two who’d take me on jogs, hikes, or long walks! I don’t gotta have a home with a fenced in yard cuz I can jump pretty high, but if ya gotta a tall fence (like at least 6 feet), that’d be cool, too.  I’m not the kinda dog who plays fetch much… I don’t really see the point in the game, like what’s fun about chasin’ a ball or rope, bringin’ it back to a human, and doin’ it all over again… hey ya know, if that’s the kinda thing ya like, more power to ya, but that’s kinda goofy, I think!  I’m kinda picky ’bout my doggy friends, so I’d either like a friend like Bianca, or a dog who’d just do their own thing and wouldn’t be all over me, ya know?  I’ve been told I can’t live with cats… cuz I like chasin’ them.  I’ve been ’round small humans (kids) and I’m good with them too, but maybe not real tiny ones cuz I’ve heard they need lots of attention!  I don’t make a mess in my kennel, so I’ll be good in your home, I promise!

Anyways, I’m gonna go for a walk with Bianca!  If ya wanna meet me, or learn more ’bout how to foster me, you can email Jai.  I’ll let ya know how I’m doin’ in class soon! Don’t forget to come out to Four Paws Pantry & Spa if ya wanna meet me and some other adoptable dogs!  Bye!!

Heya humans, Ah hope ya’ll are doin’ good an’ enjoyin’ sum ah this sunshine!  We’re all happy ta see da sun after all da rain da pass coupla days… but dere’s still ah big ole’ mud puddle for us ta roll ’round in… he he!  So, Ah wanna update ya ’bout some ah da tings goin’ on here.  Mah newest roommate, Aubrey, went to a foster home last week.  Nemo got himself a forever home, an’ he’s real happy dere.  Ah coupla puppies, Lass an’ Cookie got themselves forever homes, too, an’ Ah’m real happy for dem.

‘Cause dese oder dogs found forever homes, that gots me thinkin’ ’bout some stuff… Ah tol’ ya ’bout da kinda forever home Ah’d lak last time, but what Ah was thinkin’ ’bout is dere are lots ah Pit Bulls an’ Pit Bull mixes lak me here at HSGKC… an’ Ah’m wonderin’ ’bout why dat is. Ah know Ah’ve heard some people talkin’ ’bout us, an’ Ah suspect it’s ’cause folks maght be ah bit ah-fraid ah us ’cause ah stuff dey hear.  So, Ah wanna tell ya’ll ’bout some ah our real good qualities so maybe some ah ya maght consider givin’ dogs lak me a chance.

See, here’s what ya’ll need ta know ’bout us Pit Bulls… dis is da important stuff, so pay real close attention:  WE LOVE HUMANS!!!  We love bein’ wit humans even more dan we lak bein’ wit oder dogs!  Most ah us are real, real good wit chiren (sometimes we jus’ get real happy an’ jump up, an’ we try ta be gentle but we can be ah bit much for small, small chiren).  We love ta be somethin’ call “lap dogs”, meanin’ even do we’re kinda big, we love relaxin’ wit humans an’ layin’ on dem!  We love givin’ kisses (Brownie gives LOTS of kisses, an’ Ah do too, but Ah’m ah lil less intense ’bout kisses dan he be).  Almost all of us Pit Bulls here at HSGKC lak oder dogs… now summa us are kinda picky ’bout da dogs we like, but dat’s okay… no one laks everyone dey meet, ya know?  Ah know it ain’t always easy ta have ah Pit Bull ’cause when ya move ya gotta find ah city an’ ah place ta live where we’re allowed.  An’ when we’re your dog, you an’ your dog respresent all us Pit Bulls out dere, so we gots ta be on our very bestest behavior… but dats not too hard ta do!  We do gots some energy, an’ we’re strong, but after we’ve been for ah walk, or ah jog, or had some good ole’ play tahme, we jus love coolin’ down an’ cuddlin’ up wit our humans.  We’re not real hah energy dogs, ‘cept when we’re pups… but we grow outta dat pretty fast.  We’re smart, too, an’ sensitive ta our humans an’ envih-roh-ment, which means dere’s more goin’ on wit us dan ya maght think.

Well, Ah hope dat maybe Ah tole ya somethin’ new ’bout Pit Bulls dat ya didn’t know before, an’ dat if ya want ah best friend… ah dog who’ll go on walks an’ stuff wit ya, chill wit ya, an’ be your companion, den maybe ya’d think ’bout givin’ one of us ah forever home.  Ah’m gonna go for now… Ah think Pete an’ Christine are gonna try an’ get me anoder roommate!

Hi humans!  What’s new with you?  I’m excited ’cause i just found out I getta go to Hamburger Mary’s tonight for a charity bingo thingy (I guess Bingo is a game you humans like to play) that will benefit HSGKC!  It’s from 7:30-9:30 pm, and I’m goin’ and so are Romy, Luke and Marvin!  I like goin’ to fundraisers ’cause I can give all the kisses I want!  And, I get lots of treats and attention, so it’ll be fun and I’m hopin’ that maybe someone real nice will meet me and wanna make me a member of their family.   Anyways, for more info ’bout where we’ll be tonight, check out hsgkc.org.

I wanna update ya on some of the adoptions, too… like Nemo got adopted again!  See, he had to come back here ’cause things weren’t workin’ out so hot for him in his new home… not his fault, and not anyone’s fault really… the other doggy decided he’d rather have his humans all to himself and didn’t wanna share with Nemo.  But, that happens sometimes, ya know?  Just ’cause we’re dogs doesn’t mean we all like each other!  So, this nice family came in and were wanting to maybe adopt a girl puppy, but Christine introduced them to Nemo and they fell in love with him!  I’m happy he found a new home pretty fast… and I’m ready for one, too.  Echo got adopted, too!  She’d been here for almost a whole year, but like our humans say… eventually a human or humans find us! Bianca is a lil sad without her BFF, but she’s gettin’ lots of extra attention from Jai, and Bianca and Zappa are workin’ on bein’ friends, which is cool.  Sasha was adopted and Mila, too!  Pete (fka “Skinny Pete”) went to a foster home last week, too… so lots of things have been changin’ round here.

One other thing I wanna tell ya ’bout that I’m real excited about… and other dogs, too, is the BEG Program is starting!!!  I think Radar and a couple other dogs have kinda mentioned it when they’ve blogged.  I dunno ’bout all the details, but Pete’s got lots and lots of ideas to help all of us dogs while we’re here waiting for our forever homes to enrich our lives with stuff like agility, and to help prepare us for our forever homes.  He’s awesome!  We’re excited ’bout it… and we’ll fill ya in when we know more.  I also know that our humans are tryin’ real hard to raise money for an agility yard for us, and to fix our fences…see there’s at least one doggy who’s bein’ a bit naughty and chewin’ the fence up!  Our humans are so puzzled ’cause they can’t figure out who’s doin’ it…  I may know, but I’m not tellin’ ’cause I’m not that kinda dog!

I’m gonna go for now… I gotta get a bath so I look real handsome for tonight!  Bye!!

Update from Dixie

dixie20

Hey ya’ll, how’s it goin’?  I’ve got somethin’ real nice I wanna tell ya’ll ’bout… I’m in a foster (probably forever) home!  Ya see, this real nice couple applied to adopt me, and came out and met me earlier this month.  I was a lil unsure at first, but they played fetch with me out in the yard for a bit which was fun.  Then their daughter came to meet me, too, and they all really liked me a lot after we spent some more time together.  Anyway, ’cause I’m particular ’bout the humans I like (unless they have something very deee-li-cious, called corn-dogs… Angela, one of my favorite humans always brings them in for me when she visits HSGKC), they weren’t quite sure ’bout how I’d be in a home, so Christine suggested maybe they’d consider fostering me to give me a lil more time to adjust to a home, and they decided to give me a chance!

The mud puddle I found..."so much for the bath"!

The mud puddle I found… so much for the bath!

So, I’ve been livin’ with a mom, a dad, and a daughter who’s home from college for the summer, and I gotta tell ya’ll, I’m lovin’ it!!  I went to their house on May 17th, and the day before I left, Christine gave me a bath after Angela and Stan brushed me earlier in the day… well, when I got to the new place, I found a mud puddle to lay in which made my new parents laugh… and I was just doin’ it ’cause it was cool and I like rollin’ around in the grass and mud, I’m a dog after all.  Oh, and they started calling me “Betty” instead of Dixie.  I kinda like the name Betty… Dixie is nice, too, but Betty means somethin’ to them, so it makes me happy they changed my name… like I think they’re gonna keep me.  I’ve met a bunch of new humans, I have a HUGE yard to run around in, humans who take me on 3 walks a day, play fetch with me, and I get TONS of attention.  My new humans are real impressed with my manners… like I get to eat dinner when they eat, and I don’t beg for food, I eat my dinner and then just hang out and wait for them to finish.  They’re workin’ with me on how I meet new humans, too, and I’m improvin’.  Pete and Christine visited today, just to answer some questions my foster mom and dad had.  I was real happy to see them, and I showed how much I loved bein’ there ’cause I kept rollin’ over on my back for belly rubs.  They got to see the awesome backyard I hang out in, too.  They thought I looked sooo happy (Christine kept sayin’ that, and I am real happy).

Well ya’ll, that’s about all the news I’ve got for now… just thought ya might wanna know how things are goin’ for me.  I’m just real happy that this family is givin’ me a chance to become a part of it… not a whole lotta humans just want one dog at a time, and I’m real happy they’ve chosen me!  I’ll let ya know if they decide to adopt me, so keep readin’ this blog thingy for updates.  Bye ya’ll!

Look at how happy I am! I smiled for Pete & Christine.

Smiley, the Narrator: A Special Christmas Wish

smiley30

Hello everyone, I have not checked in on this blog for a while and wanted to do so today because this is the day I will be the featured dog for The 12 Strays of Christmas on Facebook an’ Instagram,  and I’ve got a new video for you to view.

I have a special request for Christmas.  I am ready to retire as The Narrator of the HSGKC Dog Blog.  As you may remember from my previous posts, I have an arthritis condition called “spondylosis” and I’ve been getting acupuncture for it. Well, our humans recently found out that I also have ruptured discs in my back. They continue to take me to Aid Animal Hospital for the canine pin cushion sessions, they refer to it as acupuncture, which is helping.  All of the humans who care for me (Dr. Hamilton here at HSGKC, Dr. Rowe at Aid Animal Hospital, Pete, Kate, Christine, Jai, Joyce… and all of our wonderful volunteers and other staff members) think a home would be the best place for me, and I agree completely.  Although they have put rubber mats down for me in my dog run for better traction, and give me my meds, and are doing everything they can to make me more comfortable, they all would love to see me enjoying home life.  I’d like that, too, and I would love to make them all happy because they are wonderful humans who love me and all the dogs here a lot.

smiley_xmas2nologoThis home would not need to be a permanent home, it could be a foster home. I would really enjoy a somewhat quiet home with a several soft dog beds, carpet or rugs to lay on.  I am very affectionate and I adore spending time with humans. My tail is always wagging.  I am well behaved and although I do have a “space bubble” I prefer other animals such as dogs and cats respect, I have walked with almost all of the other dogs here on Pack Walks when I was walking better.  I would be a very loyal, loving, snuggly, and fun companion.  I am very easy to walk on a leash, and would enjoy short walks (when my activity restriction is lifted).  I do know that my health needs may seem like a lot to take on, which is why I also am very open to a foster home.

I hope you check out my new video, and enjoy the pictures of me being dressed up (I tolerated the adornment because I knew it made Jana and Christine happy, but sometimes you humans are very funny creatures).  If you are interested in learning more about me, how to foster me, or want to meet me, please contact Christine.  I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday season.  I hope the next time I check in on this blog is when I am in a home.

Ladybug (Adopted!)

ladybug

Hi humans, or people, whatever it is ya’ll wanna be called!  My name is Ladybug, and I’m a 2 year old Corgi/Terrier mix.  I was found as a stray by a Kansas City, KS, Animal Control Officer, very, very prego, and got to come here.  I went to a foster home to have my pups (they went to a real great rescue group, and are doin’ great, btw).  I loved livin’ with my foster mom… she’s awesome!!!  I had to come back here, though, ’cause our humans were hopin’ I’d get adopted at the Plaza Art Fair, but… I’m still here, but that’s cool, ’cause I’m doin’ great here!  I getta be in play groups, and have had a couple different roommates, first Annie, and now Mischa, a pup who loves to wrestle and play, too!!  I hope “my” humans find me soon so I can go to a home again, but til then, I’m cool waitin’ on the right family for me.

I wanna tell ya ’bout all the good things my foster mom had to say ’bout me, not ’cause I’m braggin’ or nothin, but ’cause I’ve gotta promote myself to find a forever home!  I’m completely house-trained (I just need to learn the routine of my new family), and I’m crate-trained, too… not all the other dogs can say that, so ha!  I’ve got lots of energy and love to play with toys, like squeaky toys (I completely rip them to shreds, pull out all the stuff inside, then throw the outside part of the toy up in the air and chase it), and I love to play tug, too!  My foster mom thought I’d be a good frisbee dog… I’m not totally sure what a frisbee is, but I think it sounds like fun!  I’m really good with small humans, and love to snuggle and cuddle, too!  I love gettin’ lots of pets and attention, and I’ve even gone to a couple obedience classes… so I’m pretty smart, too!  I’d really love to go to a home with another dog so I have a friend to play with, and I’m good with pretty much every dog I’ve met so far… the only “flaw” I have is I like to chase cats… see I know humans got all kindsa rules, but I seriously dunno what the big deal is with me wantin’ to chase cats… but I’ve heard some humans don’t like that, so I figured I’d better tell ya ’bout that lil tiny thing I like to do that’s maybe considered naughty.

It’s been crazy ’round here… tomorrow is the Pet Reunion & Open House (I’ve heard our humans talkin’ ’bout this, and know they’re real excited), so maybe since I’m great with other dogs, I’ll getta come out and meet some new doggies and humans, and someone’ll decide they wanna adopt me!!!  Ya never know what could happen!  So come see me tomorrow!  I gotta run… time to go play with Mischa!  Kisses!

Just Sydney…(Adopted!)

hi everyone… uuhhmmm, i guess it’s time for me to check in and let ya know how i’m doin’ in my foster home.  i REALLY like Jessica, and stayin’ with her has been good… like better than i thought and not as scary.  she made me go on walks a lot tho, and at first i wouldn’t go further than the end of her driveway, but i finally got up enough courage to walk further, and started goin’ on longer walks everyday.  i really like her dogs, too, and have made friends with both of them.  after i started feelin’ better ’bout bein’ there, i started running in circles ’round the yard… Jessica likes that and tells me how cute i am when i run ’round.  she has made me meet new humans, tho, and that’s mostly okay, even tho i’m still not real sure ’bout most humans, at least they give me real yummy treats… and sometimes peanut butter (that’s my favorite).  someone made a video of me at Jessica’s house too… that camera was kinda scary but they told me they just wanted to show people how cute i am so i did my best to be brave. i got treats for that, too.

i had to stay with Christine for a while ’cause Jessica went on vacation (humans are busy)… i really wasn’t so sure ’bout stayin’ with Christine even tho i know who she is. Christine’s okay… i guess… as far as humans go. i like Jessica more… but Christine’s easier to train… tee hee… see she used to sit in my run with me and feed me almost every morning when i was at HSGKC, she made a big deal ’bout it so i went along with it ’cause i was hungry.  so, at her house at first i always had to go out in the fenced yard on a long leash so she could keep an eye on me, and i’d give her a hard time ’bout coming in the house.  but when it was raining one day, i got tangled in some bushes and she had to come out and get me with this funny thing she was holdin’ over her head (i think it’s called an uhm-breh-la) and that scared me, and she felt bad so she started letting me go out without the stupid long leash and she gets me to come in the house for her by showing me a yummy treat… so now i won’t come in unless she gives me a treat, and if she takes a step towards me, i let out a real pathetic whine so she feels bad and offers me a treat… tee hee!  i’ve got her number!

anyways, it’s not all bad at Christine’s house… like she takes us on walks almost everyday, and last week i started going to her so she could put my harness on… it took me ’bout 2 1/2 weeks before i quit runnin’ to my kennel and hiding even tho i like goin’ on walks.  i’ve overheard the humans talkin’ ’bout how far i’ve come since i first came in here, and that ’cause it didn’t take me too long to adjust to Christine’s house, it won’t be too hard for me when i go to a forever home… but i NEED to have other dogs in the home… see i like playin’ with them, and i trust them.  i love playin’ with Shelby and Phoebe (Christine’s dogs)… and Christine tells me how cute and happy i look wrestlin’ with Shelby and running around with Phoebe.

uuhhmm…. that’s all i got for now… i just wrote lots, and i wasn’t as scared this time… bye.

Tommy Boy, aka “Scooby Doo” (Adopted!)

tommyboy21

hi everybody my name is Tommy Boy!  i’m a great dane mix, an’ i’m ’round 7 months old.  i’ve been here at hsgkc since May, but was really, really sick… like no one could figure out what was goin’ on with me.  i went to see a special doggy doc called an in-tur-nisst at VCA Mission MedVet, an’ she was real nice an’ our humans got me healthy.  see, i had parvovirus bad, an’ after I recovered from that it made me have some tummy problems an’ i wasn’t gainin’ weight an’ didn’t wanna eat much ’cause for a while all the stuff i tried to eat made me feel sick.  our humans wanted to make sure i was real healthy before letting other humans know i’m ready for adoption, an’ i am better!!!!  i’m doin’ awesome… like back in May, i only weighed 33.5 pounds, an’ now i weigh almost 66 pounds!!!!  k, so that’s some of my history, now onto the more fun stuff.

i get to blog today to talk about the Plaza Art Fair ’cause i get to go an’ i’m real excited ’cause it’ll be my very first satellite adoption event (i know how to spell some big words ’cause i’m a smart boy)! the Plaza Art Fair is a real big deal for doggies ’cause i’ve heard lots of doggies get adopted, so our humans, ‘specially Christine (she fostered me for a month to help me get better, so i know she really loves me, even tho i know i tested her patience sometimes…’cause i’m a busy boy) will be workin’ real hard to get doggies to their forever homes!  i can’t wait to meet new humans, an’ really hope some real special, patient humans come along an’ want to give me a forever home!  plus, i think our humans get somethin’ called “donations”, too, like stuff they need to take care of us, toys for us, an’ other things humans need!  anyways, i’m so excited to go!  i hope i do good!  if you want more info about the Plaza Art Fair, check out our website for details… i’d fill you in more, but that’s not all i wanna talk about.

i wanna talk ’bout the kinda forever home i’d like, just a lil bit.  i’d love to have a doggy friend or 2 ’cause i LOVE playin’ with other dogs!!! Bandit‘s my roommie (an’ i love him), but i’ve been in play groups with Nemo, Radar, Titan, an’ Denver an’ Dakota (they got adopted last week together! we’re all happy for them ’cause they’re sweet an’ needed to go to a home together). Nemo, Denver an’ Dakota would play tug with me, an’ even with all 3 of them pullin’ on the rope, i’d win!  i’ve got LOTS of energy an’ i’ve heard our humans say i’m a “busy” boy, an’ i am, ’cause there’s just so much stuff to check out!  i’ve started obedience classes, an’ am real smart, too!  i’m workin’ on leash manners, but ’cause i am kinda “busy” an’ wanna check out everything, i kinda pull a lil on a leash!  i love the Pack Walks, too! those are lots of fun!

ruh-roh, i think i’ve been blogging too long!  oops, i didn’t mean to, i just had lots to say!  if you wanna learn more ’bout me, check me out on petfinder, an’ please come out to the Plaza Art Fair!  bye!
